COMPARISON

nula vs neuro gum — which one do you chew for calm?

neuro does not make a calm gum. their gum line is caffeinated, and their calm product, calm & clarity, is a compressed mint. nula is the chewable calm option: l-theanine 100mg and gaba 50mg per serving, caffeine-free, in a natural chicle base you chew for at least three minutes.

the short version: neuro's calm product is not a gum

this is the thing most comparisons get wrong, so it is worth being exact. neuro sells both gum and mints. every product in their gum line is caffeinated — energy & focus gum lists caffeine 40mg with l-theanine 60mg, plus b6 and b12, on its own page. the calm product, calm & clarity, is a cold-compressed mint rather than a gum.

so if what you want is something you chew, that is not caffeinated, and that is built around calm, neuro's range does not have that shape. nula does. that is the honest headline of this comparison, and it matters more than any milligram.

actives, side by side

read the units carefully, because the two companies publish on different bases. nula lists l-theanine 100mg and gaba 50mg per serving. neuro lists l-theanine 65mg and gaba 65mg per piece for calm & clarity, and suggests 1-2 pieces. nula's suggested use is also 1-2 pieces. a per-piece number and a per-serving number are not the same measurement, and anyone comparing them without saying so is misleading you.

neuro also adds vitamin d3 at 33% of the daily value. nula does not include a vitamin — it is two actives and nothing else.

why the format is not a detail

chewing does something on its own, before any ingredient is involved. in a 2009 trial, chewing gum during an acute laboratory stress task lowered salivary cortisol and improved self-reported mood against a no-gum control. a mint dissolves; a gum is chewed for minutes. that difference is the mechanism, not the packaging.

nula's base is natural chicle rather than a synthetic gum base, and the suggested use asks for at least three minutes of chewing for that reason.

common follow-ups

no. as listed on their own site on august 17 2026, neuro's calm & clarity product is a mint, and their gum products are caffeinated. if you want calm in a gum, that is the gap nula fills.

per piece, yes. but the two labels are published on different bases — neuro lists per piece, nula lists per serving — so the numbers are not directly comparable without knowing how many pieces you chew. both suggest 1-2.

neuro's entry pack is cheaper per pack at $24.99 for 72 mints against $30.80 for 56 pieces of nula. prices were read off both sites on august 17 2026 and change often — check both before you buy.
